Cleft Peak

April 2019

“The Drakensberg brings out a truer form of oneself. A raw, vulnerable, free self, that is repeatedly tested and repeatedly overcomes. We began to open up to our companions, perhaps because we depended on each other. Or because we didn’t care a lick about false pretenses. Ha, we were all sopping wet and dirty, giggling uncontrollably and just being human, together. We shared moments and contemplated ideas, harshly judged each other’s choice in food and faith, and conquered mountains, together. ”
